Emily Holmes is a Los Angeles-based artist and designer crafting ceramic objects inspired by familiar forms—some resembling bags and other textiles—reimagining everyday items as keepsakes.

With a background in Art Therapy from the Art Institute of Chicago, Emily first explored clay as a tool for healing, developing therapeutic curricula that emphasized the tactile and expressive nature of ceramics. While she had been making ceramics for years, it was after moving to Los Angeles that Emily decided to open her ceramic design studio full-time.

Balancing playfulness with refinement, Emily’s work invites curiosity and nostalgia. Every object is hand-built resulting in pieces that feel both artful and deeply personal.

The studio offers custom work, ceramic design services, wholesale partnerships, and design trade collaborations with interior designers.
